Shanti Snyder, whose stage name is simply Shanti, is known for her collaborations with Yoko Kanno, most notably in Escaflowne the Movie with vocals in the theme song “Sora.” For this 2010 album, Shanti puts her own spin on heart-wrenching songs such as “Cry Me A River” and “Killing Me Softly With His Song” alongside “Fly Me To the Moon” and “Summer Blue.”
